The annual Alpine Festival each summer is an event not to be missed. The downtown area is transformed into the Alpenstrasse featuring ethnic treats, an extensive arts & crafts show with vendors from all over the country, and a fun filled carnival that is enjoyed by all ages. Additional Alpine Festival events are the Parade, Burning of the Boogg, and the World's Largest Coffee Break.

Other activities that the area offers up are fishing in peaceful lakes, morel mushrooms hunting in beautiful forests in the spring, game hunting for the sportsmen, skiing & snowmobiling during the crisp winters, concerts, art fairs, golfing, color tours, and much more.
